Cornwall Retreat with Marisse Gaskell 2025
Payment & Cancellation Policy
Payment Terms:
Payment can be made via bank transfer or debit/credit card. A non-refundable deposit of 25% is required to secure your place on the retreat. The remaining balance is due by 1st March 2025, or on an alternative date agreed upon in writing. If the outstanding balance is not received by the agreed date, Marisse Gaskell reserves the right to cancel your reservation and offer your place to another guest. If you anticipate difficulty meeting this deadline, please contact me as soon as possible.
Non-Refundable Deposit:
The deposit paid to secure your booking is non-refundable under any circumstances, except in the event that the retreat is cancelled by Marisse Gaskell.
Host Cancellation:
In the unlikely event that Marisse Gaskell needs to cancel the retreat, all monies paid, including your deposit, will be refunded in full. However, Marisse Gaskell cannot be held liable for any additional costs or losses incurred, such as travel expenses. I strongly recommend purchasing comprehensive travel insurance to cover such eventualities.
Participant Cancellation:
If you are unable to attend, please notify Marisse Gaskell as soon as possible via email. I will attempt to fill your place, and if successful, I will refund all payments made, excluding the deposit. If I am unable to fill your place, the following refund policy applies:
Before 1st March 2025 (or agreed date): Payments will be refunded in full, excluding the deposit.
After 1st March 2025 (or agreed date): No refund will be issued unless your space is filled.
Please note: No refunds will be given if you choose to leave the retreat early or if there are changes to the schedule (e.g., yoga class times or meal arrangements).
Insurance
It is your responsibility to ensure you have comprehensive travel insurance covering all potential risks, including but not limited to yoga, other retreat activities, travel delays, cancellations, illness, and disruptions. Marisse Gaskell is not responsible for any loss, damage, injury, or theft of personal belongings.
Consumer Protection & Force Majeure
Under UK consumer law, you have the right to expect that the retreat will be delivered with reasonable care and skill. If any part of the retreat does not meet these expectations, you may be entitled to seek a remedy. However, this does not apply in cases of force majeure or unforeseen events beyond our control (e.g., pandemics, natural disasters, government restrictions). You acknowledge the risk of potential government restrictions or other force majeure events that may affect the retreat. I strongly recommend securing travel insurance that covers these risks.

You are responsible for the safekeeping of personal belongings, and I am not liable for any loss or damage to them.
By booking this retreat, you agree to release and hold harmless Marisse Gaskell and Sophia Tupy from any claims, liabilities, damages, costs, or expenses arising from your participation in the retreat.
